Apple Crisp (Vegan, Gluten Free)
This Apple Crisp recipe is a healthier alternative to traditional Apple Crisp and it perfect paired with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream! Start to finish this recipe takes a little over an hour and is well worth every second. Amazing!

  • 4 tbsp Coconut Oil (Divided 1 tbsp, 1 tbsp, 2 tbsp)
  • 3 Honey Crisp Apples
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • ¼ tsp grated Ginger
  • ½ Cut Coconut Sugar
  • 2 + ½ tsp Cinnamon Divided (1 tsp, 1 + ½ tsp)
  • ¾ tsp Nutmeg Divided (1/4 tsp, ½ tsp)
  • pinch of Salt
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 + ½ Cup Raw Almonds (not roasted nor salted)
  • 1 + ½ Cup Dehydrated Cranberries
  1. Preheat Oven to 400.
  2. Grease pan with 1 tbsp of Coconut Oil, or less (I used a 9x13 inch glass pan).
  3. Peel and slice your 3 honey crisp and one granny smith apples and set aside (use apple spiralizer if you have).
  4. SAUCE: In a mixing bowl thoroughly mix the following: 1 tbsp melted Coconut Oil, ¼ tsp grated Ginger, ½ Cup Coconut Sugar, 1 tsp Cinnamon, ¼ tsp Nutmeg, pinch of Salt, and 2 tbsp Water.
  5. Once the sauce is mixed you can begin layering the apples in the pan adding some of the sauce in-between each layer. Any remaining sauce can be added to the top of the apples.
  6. Crisp (Crumble): Add the following ingredients to a high speed blender: 2 tbsp Coconut Oil, 1 + ½ Cups Raw Almonds, 1 + ½ Cups Dehydrated Cranberries, 1 + ½ tsp Cinnamon, and a ½ tsp Nutmeg.
  7. Blend until it resembles a well mixed sticky crumble.
  8. Spread the crumble evenly over the top of your apples.
  9. Place pan in the oven covered for 30 min.
  10. Remove cover and cook 20 additional min (be sure to watch it at this point because any longer and the crumble will burn).
  11. Serve as is or top with a scoop of your favorite ice cream!
