Chocolate Banana Waffles (AMAZING!)

These Waffles will have you turning your back on store bought Waffles. They are crazy fluffy and full of flavor. These are great by themselves or paired with a sweet something like maple syrup or ice-cream for dessert!

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Flaxseed Meal (Ground Flaxseed)

2 + 1/2 tbsp Water

2 Ripe Bananas

2 + 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

One Cup Gluten Free Flour (I used Bob’s Red Mill)

1/4 Cup of Oats

1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/4 tsp Salt

1 tsp Vanilla

1 tsp Agava Nectar

1/4 tsp Cinnamon

1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks (add more for a chocolatier waffle)

Coconut Oil Spray

Instructions:

  1. Plug in your waffle maker so that it is ready to go when the batter is!
  2. In a small bowl mix the Flaxseed Meal and Water and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl mash the bananas with a fork until they resemble a mushy substance.
  4. Next add the Baking Powder to the bananas and mix throughout.
  5. Mix in the Flaxseed Mixture, Flour, Oats, Almond Milk, Salt, Vanilla, Agava Nectar, and Cinnamon until it is throughly mixed. Your batter will be very thick but will make the most amazing, fluffy, waffle!
  6. Lastly, add the desired around of Chocolate to your batter.IMG_0875
  7.  Once you have sprayed your waffle maker, with your coconut spray, cook according to manufactures instructions.
